Have you ever considered the fact that there might be a way you could feel better without too much effort on your part?

I didn’t realize it was possible and even balked at the idea when I first heard it.  Oh, if only I had listened.  It was 2017 and our little family was still having difficulties with anxiety and crankiness.  Crankiness, that is a good description don’tcha think?  It’s one of those words that does not need explaining.

What am I talking about?  In 2017 I balked when my then husband recommended we turn off the WiFi before we went to sleep at night, to see if that helped us feel more rested in the morning.  Boy, what I would do to turn back the clock.

I now only use Cat 7 ethernet cables to get computer service in my home.  It is not that hard and it has made all the difference in my level of health.  Less general aches and pain and less pain in nerve pathways that were damaged in the past.

The second easy switch is to flip the power off to the circuits in my bedroom at night before I hit the hay.  When I wake up in the morning, I actually feel like I have had a deeper night’s sleep than the days when I don’t flip off the power.  My feet actually feel like they are in better contact with the floor and my spirit feels a little lighter than usual, a feeling some might call hope.

Last off is turning my phone onto airplane mode.  This way my phone is not constantly searching for a signal to pick up and vice versa.  It is easy to forget to do this at night, so I have gotten in the habit of turning it on before I switch to my favorite nightly podcast on Spotify.  Your alarm will still work however you will not receive texts or phone calls.  I try to do this during the day for blocks of time as well as it helps me focus to get work done.

Less electrical activity in the air around you gives your body a break from the constant effort it must exert to maintain homeostasis.  If you don’t mind, would you please do these things and then come back and comment on this blog post?  Let us know, what did you notice?  Did you feel any different when you woke up?  Did you sleep through the night?

Much love, grace and peace to you,

Paula Baron P.T.
